The first one is alcohol. If you’ve ever experienced “hangxiety” - that low, nervous and depressed feeling the day after drinking - you’re not alone. The body works hard to expel the alcohol from your system over night and disrupts your sleep as well as inhibiting the powerful and healing REM sleep leaving you feeling a bit jangly the day after.

The second one is poor sleep. When our sleep is disrupted we know that we feel worse. Poor sleep is associated with poor choices over food, lack of activity, poor cognitive function and low mood. No wonder that one night’s poor sleep makes us feel wretched, never mind weeks of them!

And the third one is stress. When we’re stressed we’re already living in the flight or fight zone meaning that the slightest thing can push us over the edge and we feel mega sensitive to any additional pressure.

The great news is that hypnotherapy can help with all of these things and thereby naturally lower your anxiety levels - even if you’ve got problems with all three at once!

I’m often asked what can hypnotherapy be used to treat and it’s such a difficult question to answer because the answer is just about anything where the subconscious is involved. Sometimes whatever that is doesn’t have an obvious connection to the subconscious so if you’re wondering if hypnotherapy can help you, the answer is most likely yes!
