What to do when it feels like the world has gone mad
Sometimes when the news and social media is bombarding us with really negative images and stories it can feel like the world is falling apart, the people are filled with hate and that humanity has been lost.
Seeing and hearing these things day after day, week after week and month after month can have a really detrimental effect on our mental wellbeing. There was a time, when I was a kid, when you only saw the news once a day - it was either at 6pm or 10pm when your folks were watching it. So different to the constant stream we have today.
That actually made it a lot easier to cope with. If you’re finding it too much at the moment, it’s okay to switch it off, take a break from social media or mute those endless notifications from your phone.
Rediscover your own inner peace in a book, a walk, a bath or some meditation.
