A hypnotist's reach is far and wide!
When I first embarked on my career as a hypnotherapist 13 years ago, I think I envisioned seeing clients from my local area - Netherton, Horbury and Ossett. If someone came to me from the far side of Wakefield or shock horror….Pontefract or Castleford I’d be amazed.
Fast forward 13 years and a lot has happened, not least of which was covid a few years ago which changed the way a lot of us are working. People struggling with home-working or “living at work” as I like to call it is the subject for another blog sometime!
These days I still see the majority of clients face-to-face. There’s something rather special about being in the same room as someone in terms of connecting with them and being able to spot micro-signals in response to hypnotic suggestions that you really can’t replicate with Zoom or Teams.
That said, I see clients far and wide these days and it’s not unusual for people to travel up to an hour to see me from Barnsley, Leeds, Huddersfield and Bradford. The advent of technology like Zoom means that the furthest I’ve worked with is Peru and the Middle East but it’s not unusual to speak to clients on the south coast of the UK, Wales or Manchester.
It must be that Yorkshire accent that’s so soothing!
