Why autumn is a great time to introduce change
It’s that time of year when memories of warm summer days (however few!) start to fade into distant memory, kids are back at school and bigger kids are off to university and our thoughts turn to the months ahead.
Summer is a great time for reflection and maybe you’ve been thinking about what your next move will be and what you want to work on. Actually, this time of year, when it’s still light and we can feel the season changing is a great time of year to be making a change within yourself.
We tend to get a bit hung up about new year’s resolutions but actually that’s a really challenging time to make a change. It’s cold, it’s dark, we’re feeling skint and we just want to hibernate in January. It’s much better to tap into the changing of the seasons and work with the rhythm of the world.
Leaves on trees are changing to a wonderful golden glow, blackberries have all been picked, apples are ripe and acorns are dropping as you walk. Nature seems to understand about renewal and fresh starts at this time of year. Why don’t you get in on the act and get to work on those changes you’ve been promising yourself?
