“3 years ago I was running, almost 2 years ago I ran my first marathon and since then it was a downwards spiral.
I’m now at that point where I want to run again. But I’ve had this fear, anxiety, anger all because running and trying to take care of myself broke me. It lead to my diagnosis of M.E.
Well, after a year of looking after myself, putting me first and having a really hard look at myself - I dusted the cobwebs off my trainers and I’ve been going round the block.
On Thursday with the help of @helenweirhypnotherapy I faced the demons of running and I set myself the task of going for a run by myself over the weekend.
This morning I’ve done just that. I ran 3.2km in 24 minutes. It’s not quick, but it’s quicker than last week and I was a lone ranger. So now I’m off for a shower and to do housework and bask in the glory that I can #setgoalsandcrushthem”
